Aizawl: In a significant breakthrough, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday arrested one individual after conducting extensive searches at gun shops and other locations in Mizoram. This operation is part of an ongoing investigation into arms, ammunition trafficking, and explosives smuggling.

The NIA executed searches at six locations, including two gun shops, in Aizawl district, resulting in the arrest of Solomona, also known as Hminga. The search led to the seizure of a substantial quantity of explosive materials, ammunition, digital devices, documents, and other incriminating items.

Solomona is the second person arrested in connection with case RC-31/2023/NIA/DLI, which pertains to the trafficking of arms, ammunition, and explosives in the northeastern states of India.
