Agartala: The Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) lodged an official complaint with the chief electoral officer (CEO) against BJP state president and chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb for allegedly misleading people with false statements, intending to malign the image of Congress and the TPCC president Pradyot Kishore Deb Barman.
Addressing a press conference, TPCC vice-president Pijush Biswas said that CM Deb is misleading people of the state by making false allegations against the Congress party and the PCC President Pradyot Deb Barman by instigating “communal hatred” among the people.
He said that false claims against the Congress president are being circulated among the people by the BJP president, which “is a serious attempt to malign the image of the party and also divide the communities against each other”.
