RT-PCR to be mandatory for passengers from China, Japan, S Korea, Singapore, Thailand: Mandaviya

Gandhinagar: Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Saturday said RT-PCR test for the detection of COVID-19 would be made mandatory for passengers from China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Thailand for their travel to India.

He also said that passengers arriving in India from these countries will undergo thermal screening at airports and those found COVID-19 positive or with fever will be quarantined.

Talking to reporters in Gandhinagar, Mandaviya said that filling up of the ‘Air Suvidha’ form to declare the health status will be made mandatory for passengers coming from these countries.
