Kachui Timothy Zimik, who is contesting the 18th Outer Manipur Lok Sabha election 2024 from the Naga People’s Front (NPF) party, exercised his franchise rights during the second phase of the polls on Friday.

Accompanied by his wife, Phungamla Zimik, and family members, Zimik was the first to cast his vote at 7 am at his native Sinakeithei village in Ukhrul district.

Speaking to EastMojo after casting his vote, Zimik expressed confidence in winning the election and assured to work on bringing peace and development to Manipur. “Peace and development will be my top priority after I am elected as a member of Parliament. Regardless of the communities, I will work for the whole people of the state,” said Zimik, who served over 36 years in government.
