Imphal: Manipur on Wednesday reported 752 new COVID-19 cases, of which three are personnel of the Central Armed Police Forces and the remaining 749 are civilians. Also, 10 more persons succumbed to the coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

With this, the total number of coronavirus cases in the state reached 61,848 and the cumulative death toll due to COVID-19 mounted to 1,008.

The number of active cases reached 9,078, of which 3,002 are in home isolation while the remaining are at COVID-19 hospitals and COVID-19 care facilities.

The 10 new deaths were reported from Imphal West (4), Churachandpur (2), Bishnupur (2), Kakching (1) and Thoubal (1) districts.

Of the new COVID-19 cases, 231 were reported from Imphal West, 125 from Imphal East, 88 from Churachandpur, 84 from Kakching, 59 from Thoubal, 39 from Tamenglong, 37 from Bishnupur, 34 from Ukhrul, 21 from Kangpokpi, 13 from Senapati, seven each from Chandel and Jiribam, six from Noney and one from Tengnoupal.

In the last 24 hours, 408 more COVID-19 patients were discharged, of which 295 were in home isolation, 12 at RIMS, two at JNIMS and the rest 99 were at COVID-19 care facilities. The recovery rate now stands at 83.69 per cent.
