The stage is set for the General Election to the Lok Sabha 2024 in Mizoram, as the state gears up for the electoral process scheduled for Friday, April 19, 2024. With meticulous planning and arrangements, the Election Commission of India, along with the state election machinery, is ensuring a smooth and transparent electoral exercise.

As the final leg of preparations unfolds, polling personnel have been dispatched to their respective stations. Yesterday, polling parties for the 168 P-2 Polling Stations, located in remote areas, commenced their duties. Today, the remaining 1108 polling officials for the P-1 Polling Stations will be deployed, ensuring comprehensive coverage across the state.

Mizoram has an electorate of 8,56,364 voters, comprising 4,14,805 male voters and 4,41,559 female voters. Additionally, there are 4,963 Service voters, 4741 voters aged 85 and above, 3396 Persons with Disabilities (PwD) voters, and 36,370 young voters aged between 18-19.
