Imphal: A couple was reportedly injured on Monday morning after a suspected low intensity of improvised explosive device (IED) exploded in Imphal, police said.
As per the official, the incident occurred at between 8:47 to 9 am near at Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) Hospital main gate. The couple belonging to Morum village of Kangpokpi district were injured on their right hands and left legs and are out of danger.
Moreover, the couple, identified as Papao and his wife Haopi, came at the hospital for a treatment when the incident happened, it said.
