The Indian Railways will be operating 9111 trips of special trains this summer season. This is a significant increase in the number of trips compared to the summer of 2023 when only 6369 trips were operated.
The increase in trips is due to the surge in travel demand during the summer season. The Indian Railways aims to provide a convenient and comfortable travel experience for its passengers.
The new trains will connect major destinations across the country. The additional trains will start operations from Assam, Tripura, and part of West Bengal and Bihar to major destinations in India. All zonal railways in India are operating these additional trips.
