Kohima: Nagaland’s Director General of Police (DGP), Rupin Sharma, issued a stark warning on Monday, declaring that there would be “no mercy” for any police personnel involving in unlawful activities within the state.
Addressing the media regarding concerns over multiple extortions by Naga Political Groups on business establishments, Sharma emphasised that the law applies equally to everyone, reiterating that a crime is a crime.
He was responding to queries alleging the involvement of some uniformed personnel in extortion activities.
