In a joint operation, Assam Rifles, in collaboration with the Police Department Champhai, successfully intercepted and apprehended an individual involved in the illegal drug trade, recovering a substantial quantity of Heroin No 4 in Champhai district, Mizoram.
On Wednesday, a combined team comprising Assam Rifles personnel and the Champhai Police Department conducted a targeted operation in the general area of Ngur-Tiau River Road, Champhai district, based on actionable intelligence. The operation resulted in the seizure of two hongs and a vial containing Heroin No 4, with a total weight of 26 grams, valued at approximately Rupees 18.20 lakh in the illicit market.
Following the successful operation, the seized heroin and the apprehended individual were promptly handed over to the Police Department Champhai, Champhai District, for further legal proceedings.
