Shillong: Charred bodies of three youths from Goalpara were found on Wednesday along with their vehicle near Wageasi, bordering Meghalaya’s North Garo Hills.
Sources mentioned that the incident took place last night. Two of the youths were identified as Jomor Ali, S/o Azhar Ali of Borbalu Para, PO/PS – Matia, Goalpara, Assam, and Noor Mohammad Ali S/o Moyna Ali of Shantipur Nigam, PO/PS – Matia, Goalpara, Assam. The third body is yet to be identified.
The three were traveling from Shallang with their vehicle registration number AS 01 EV 5247 (Swift Dzire) towards Dudhnoi. Upon reaching between Rogu Alda and Rongmil (areas bordering East Garo Hills and North Garo Hills), they were abducted by miscreants. The source mentioned that their vehicle was hijacked.
