Polling personnel dispersed despite challenges in Kangpokpi

Kangpokpi: In the face of challenges including a government office shutdown in Kangpokpi Town and a directive from the Kuki Apex body to abstain from voting, the Kangpokpi district in Manipur witnessed a flawlessly executed first phase dispersal of polling personnel for the April 19 Lok Sabha (first phase) Poll on Wednesday.

Commencing at 7:00 a.m. at Brig. M. Thomas Ground Kangpokpi town, the crucial task was overseen by the District Election Officer, Mahesh Chaudhari, who also serves as the District Magistrate/DC Kangpokpi, and Manoj Prabhakar, the District Superintendent of Police.

The dispersal of polling personnel for the second phase is scheduled for Thursday at the same venue.
