Imphal: Dinganglung Gangmei (Dipu) of Nungba constituency in Manipur’s Tamenglong district has been elected as the new chairman of Hill Areas Committee (HAC) in Manipur on Monday.

Though the election of the HAC chairman is scheduled on Tuesday, the news was broken by Henglep AC MLA Letzamang Haokip on the microblogging site Twitter.

“Congratulations @d_gangmei (Retd.IAS) hon’ble MLA Nungba (ST) AC elected as the new Hill Area Committee (HAC) chairman,” wrote MLA Haokip on his twitter handle.
