Assam CM woos minority voters with developmental promises

Boko: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has ramped up his efforts to woo minority voters during campaigns for the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections scheduled on May 7.

On Tuesday, he attended an election rally at a Muslim-minority dominated Sontoli area under Chamaria LAC in the Kamrup district of Assam. He promised developmental projects to attract the voters.

During his speech, Chief Minister Sarma expressed his optimism about garnering support from minority voters, asserting, “Minority communities have just started supporting us. In the future, we anticipate their continued support.”
