Guwahati: The annual event of the Northeast Chapter of FICCI Ladies Organization (FLO) was held online on April 14 and 15. During the event, Suruchi Agarwal was welcomed as the new chairperson of FLO.
She took the baton from outgoing Chairperson Juhie Saboo.
An MBA, Agarwal is the Vice President, Human Resources, SM Group, Guwahati. With her in the forefront, the company has undertaken various initiatives such as training, workshops, performance management planning and sessions etc.
She is also one of the founder members of FICCI Ladies Organization Northeast Chapter. She has been active in all its initiatives since then.
The empowerment of women constitutes the empowerment of our entire society. Each one of us should be unstoppable, strong, fearless and wise to lead the change, she said.
During her tenure, the new Chairperson aims to upskill women agricultural farmers across the region. In her vision statement, Agarwal expresses her desire to empower women in the fields of agriculture, skill development, education, health and wellness.
The other Executive Committee members for the current financial year are Meghali Das, Senior vice chairperson; Santashree Bhuyan Mallick, Vice chairperson; Geetika Jain, Secretary; Rashmi Manchanda, Treasurer; Neha Khemka, Joint Secretary; and Sheetal Agarwal, Joint Treasurer.

Eminent personalities, including Dr Jitendra Singh, Minister for Development of the Northeastern Region; Smriti Irani, Minister for Women and Child Development; Narendra Singh Tomar, Minister for Rural Development; and Dilip Chenoy, Secretary General of FICCI were also present in the virtual event.
