Football fans in Assam will be able to watch the FIFA World Cup 2026 at dedicated fan parks in Guwahati and Dibrugarh, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced on Sunday.

In a post on X, the Chief Minister said the ‘CM FIFA Fan Park’ initiative, organised by the Assam Tourism Development Corporation (ATDC), is aimed at offering football enthusiasts a community viewing experience during the tournament.

The fan park at Latasil Playground in Guwahati will open on June 29, while the one at Chowkidingee Field in Dibrugarh will begin operations on June 30. Supporters will be able to watch FIFA World Cup matches on large screens alongside fellow fans.

Inviting football lovers from across the country to join the initiative, Sarma said watching the World Cup with hundreds of supporters would make the experience even more memorable.
