Imphal: Manipur Minister for Power, Forest and Environment Thongam Biswajit Singh has shared that Meiningsinliu Pamei has secured admission at Slopeland Public School at Khongjom in Thoubal district.
Khongjom is located at a distance of around 36 km from the heart of Imphal.
The 10-year-old girl from Tamenglong district had shot in the limelight last month after a video of her attending school at Dailong primary school while babysitting her toddler brother went viral.
She won the hearts of netizens on social media and and was noticed by minister Biswajit and Chief Minister N Biren Singh.
The Manipur minister had then pledged to take care of Meiningsinliu’s education till she graduates.
On Tuesday, taking to his Twitter handle, minister Biswajit said, “Join me to wish #MeiningsinliuPamei good luck for her future endeavours!”
“As promised, I have arranged her boarding schooling in Slopeland Public School, Imphal. I wish her to come off with flying colours,” his tweet read.
Meiningsinliu, who has secured admission in Class 1, will continue her studies at the new school, the minister shared.
