Kohima: Ahead of the next meeting with the Centre in Delhi, the parliamentary committee on Naga political issue, comprising all Nagaland legislators and members of parliament (MP), on Saturday, met at the chief minister’s residential complex.

No resolutions were made during the meeting, Minister Neiba Kronu, member secretary of the committee told journalists after the meeting concluded.

As the core committee of the parliamentary committee recently met with the Naga negotiating groups–NSCN(IM) and NNPGs, he said that the meeting house was briefed about the outcomes of those meetings.

While the negotiating groups are holding talks at their level, he informed that the state government, as facilitators, are also having talks at their level.

Without disclosing much, Kronu said that the message that needs to be communicated with the Centre was discussed during the committee meeting.

He informed that Nagaland chief minister Neiphiu Rio and chairman of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) along with some legislators will join deputy CM Y Patton in Delhi to meet with the Centre.

The team is expected to meet with union home minister Amit Shah on April 11.
