Gangtok: Vivanta Sikkim Pakyong, a five-star hotel owned by Skipping Stones private limited, a local, family-owned company, was named the winner of the HICSA best hotel of the year award in the upscale segment.
The HICSA Hotel of the Year Awards were instituted to recognise and honour the most outstanding hotel developments in the previous year in South Asia. Since its inception ten years ago, more than 500 hotels have been nominated in various categories.
Vivanta Sikkim Pakyong is based in Namcheybong in Pakyong district, some 7.5 kilometres from Greenfield Airport in Pakyong. It is spread across 44,000 square feet with 50 rooms, nine of which are suites while the rest are premium and deluxe rooms.
