Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s teleprompter stopped functioning during his address at the World Economic Forum’s Davos Agenda summit online on the first day of the five-day event on Monday.

The teleprompter malfunction occurred during his address and PM Modi was caught off guard and had to stop midway while talking. The incident triggered reactions from opposition leaders to the general public.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi wrote on Twitter, “Even the teleprompter could not handle the lies,” in Hindi.
