Guwahati: One of Guwahati’s popular oriental cuisine restaurants, Oriental Bistro, has been relaunched in a new avatar with a refreshed menu on October 8.

The restro-bar, situated at Adityam Building in Lachit Nagar, Guwahati, unveiled a fresh new look with new interiors and an open-air area to improve its dining experience.

The new look of the restaurant was unveiled by Assamese actor Barsha Rani Bishaya. The menu, too, is revamped which aims at uplifting the oriental food segment in the city.

Speaking about the new offering, Shaurav A. Chowdhury, GM Food at Karini Group of Restaurants, said that the restaurant aims to provide an unforgettable experience for the city’s foodies.

“Often regarded as the #MostLoved and #FavouriteOreintalRestaurant, Oriental Bistro now has a great looking dining space with a refreshed menu for the people of Guwahati. This facelift is done keeping in mind small details for each guest to have a good time in the bar-cum-restaurant. The best part of the restaurant would certainly be the open-air balcony areas,” said Chowdhury.

Speaking on the occasion, Barsha Rani Bishaya said, “I am happy to unveil the new look of Oriental Bistro, which now truly looks fabulous and wish the restaurant good luck! The people of Guwahati have a new destination to hang out with family and friends! Oriental Bistro has been there since long and I personally like their food very much. I hope that Oriental Bistro continues to serve good, hygienic food and it’s certainly a good time to restart Oriental Bistro, during Durga Puja.”

Oriental Bistro was started on January 14, 2018, during Magh Bihu and it went on to become a popular eatery in Guwahati. The restaurant also bagged the award for “The Best New Entrant for Oriental Cuisine” in 2018, followed by the award for the “Best Oriental Restaurant of the Year” in 2019.

Since its inception in 2018, Oriental Bistro has organized many successful food festivals, like the Sea Food Festival, Thai Food Festival and the Sushi Festival, to name a few.
