The Deucha-Pachami coal mine at Mohammadbazar block in the Birbhum district of West Bengal is expected to solve the state’s coal and power demand. The project is supposed to eliminate the shortage of electricity for over 100 years and create one lakh jobs. But this is just on the surface.
