Dimapur: Benjamin Yepthomi, the President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Nagaland, has asserted that the BJP is the only political party capable of resolving the longstanding issues of the Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation (ENPO).
Speaking during a media interaction at his residence in Dimapur on Monday, Yepthomi emphasised the party’s dedication to addressing the concerns of the Eastern Naga community.
“The concerns of our Eastern Naga brothers and sisters are deeply rooted, genuine, and authentic. Their long-standing issue deserves an early solution, and the BJP Nagaland party stands with our brothers and sisters of ENPO,” Yepthomi stated.
He reiterated that both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have repeatedly assured that the ENPO issue will be resolved under the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government. “Both leaders have time and again assured that the issue of ENPO will be solved only under the leadership of the BJP-led NDA government,” he added.
Yepthomi expressed confidence that a resolution is imminent, suggesting that the solution to the ENPO issue is “not very far from now.”
“It is only the BJP government, and no other political party, that is going to solve the ENPO issue. No other political party, be it XYZ, can solve this ENPO issue,” Yepthomi emphasised.
The Nagaland BJP president highlighted that the significance of the issue for the entire Naga community and noted that Home Minister Amit Shah is “keen” on solving the issue “at a very fast pace.”

He also affirmed the BJP’s solidarity with the people of ENPO and acknowledged that their demand for Frontier Nagaland Territory (FNT) has wide-reaching implications for the entire Naga population.
In addition to addressing the ENPO issue, Yepthomi also discussed the upcoming BJP membership drive, which aims to engage with people across the state. He confirmed that the membership process would be transparent and focused on genuine participation rather than mere numbers. The drive will include efforts in the ENPO areas as well.
