Speaking on the occasion, CM Biren Singh expressed appreciation to NABARD and other banks for their credit support and providing assistance to the people of the state in carrying out varied livelihood activities. He continued that banks have now taken a crucial role in the development of the state, by reaching out to the needs of people and making the banking network accessible.
The CM shared that the state had recently launched the Sub-Division Development Monitoring Mission to identify people’s needs for ensuring inclusive growth. He said the government would send teams consisting of ministers and senior officials of different departments to hill districts to create awareness about the ill effects of poppy cultivation and sort out alternative arrangements.
