Amar Sangno to represent India at IFJ

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Union of Working Journalists (APUWJ) president Amar Sangno will represent India at the 31st World Congress of International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) to be held in Muscat, Oman, from May 31 to June 3.

IFJ is a global federation of journalists’ unions — the largest globally. It represents more than 6,00,000 media workers from 187 organisations in 146 countries.

Besides Sangno, also the Indian Journalists’ Union (IJU) secretary, IJU president Geetartha Pathak, IJU general secretary and IFJ vice-president Sabina Inderjit and Samim Sultana Ahmed, a member of the IFJ Gender Council Steering Committee, would attend the programme.
