A case has been registered against Punjab-based YouTuber Paras Singh for using a racial slur against former Arunachal Pradesh MP and sitting Congress legislator Ninong Ering and inciting ill will and hatred towards the people of Arunachal Pradesh.

YouTuber Paras Singh, who goes by the name ‘Paras Official’ on his YouTube channel, has allegedly termed “Ering as a non-Indian and Arunachal Pradesh, a part of China,” in one of his videos posted on Sunday.

Reacting to EastMojo story, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu said a case has been registered against Mr. Paras under s 124A/ 153A/ 505(2) IPC.

“Based on the video that aims at inciting ill will and hatred towards the people of Arunachal Pradesh, @ArunachalPolice has already initiated action,” the chief minister said.

The CM added that the Youtuber’s social media accounts were being thoroughly investigated by authorities for details about his activities.

“Technical resources are being employed to gather his current whereabouts,” tweeted Khandu.

Paras made the comments while reacting to a letter addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi by Ering recently, wherein the latter had asked the PM to ban the re-launch of PUBG Mobile India’s new avatar Battlegrounds Mobile India.

Meanwhile, in a video posted on May 24, Paras Singh uploaded a video to his
Paras Official
Youtube channel titled “Sorry Arunachal Pradesh 😭🙏😭.”

In the video, Singh apologises for his mistake and claims that he had no idea that so many people will be offended by his words, and says that if he knew, he would have never said it.
