US rapper Azealia Banks sparks controversy after digging up, cooking her dead cat
US rapper Azealia Banks has taken her 'witchcraft' to the next level after she appeared to dig up and cook her dead cat. Banks left fans in shock after she posted a video on her social media where she claimed to be digging up and cooking her dead cat, Lucifer.
The 29-year-old took to Instagram to share a video which was quickly deleted featuring her and an unknown person digging up the buried cat as she laughed in the background and made up a rap about it.
The video which has now been deleted showed Banks digging something that was wrapped up out of the ground and told her followers, the cat is in the bag.
In the caption of the post, she wrote, "Lucifer 2009-2020. My Dear kitty," she added: "Thank you for everything. A legend. An icon. Forever a serval serve."
After appearing to dig the animal up, she then apparently boiled it in a big pot with more footage of her stirring the contents together. She shared the journey on her Instagram Stories as well as her newsfeed but later removed them.
This is not the first time Banks has shocked the social media world with her behaviour. In 2017 she shocked the internet by posting a video of a blood-stained room she uses for witchcraft, reportedly having used the room to sacrifice chickens.
In 2013, she was accused of being homophobic after using a gay slur numerous times while slamming celebrity blogger Perez Hilton.
In 2016, Azealia also used racial slurs directed at former One Direction member Zayn Malik.
She then left Meghan Markle’s fans disgusted by claiming the former royal could die in a car crash in 2022.
