Paw-dorable: Joe Biden's dog to be first rescue pet in White House

Canine residents in the White House are not new, but Biden will be the first President to bring a shelter dog

The victory of Joe Biden as the next US President is nothing short of a historic event, including the welcoming of Major, the first rescue pet dog to make it to the White House.

Returning to the White House after 4 years, the former VP, now POTUS-elect will bring along his fury friends- Champ and Major, to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington.

Canine residents in the White House are not new, but Biden will be the first President to bring a shelter dog. While Champ, the older german shepherd has already been to the White House, this will be the first time for Major.

Bidens had adopted Major in 2018 after fostering him from Delaware Humane Association. After his victory, animal lovers have set Twitter abuzz talking about the four-legged addition to the White House.
