Gmail global outage: Users unable to login or send attachments

Guwahati: The global emailing service from Google called Google Mail or Gmail has gone down and is not working for several users globally. Users of the service have complained that they are unable to login or send across attachments in emails. Some user have also reported that htye are not being able to send emails at all.

The Google Apps status page has also confirmed the issue and have said that they will be providing a follow-up by 1:30 PM. The message says "We are continuing to investigate this issue. We will provide an update by 8/20/20, 1.30pm detailing when we expect to resolve the problem."

It is still not clear as to what caused the issue on Gmail but has caused trouble for millions of its users worldwide. Many users from various countries have complained that they are unable to send emails while some are not being able to send attachments in their emails.

The emailing platform has become very important for many users worldwide as almost everyone is working from home during COVID-19 outbreak and emails are one of the major ways of communications.
