Google announces Pixel 4A , Pixel 4A 5G, and Pixel 5; starting at $349
Guwahati: Google has officially announced the highly anticipated three new models for its Pixel smartphone line – Pixel 4A, Pixel 4A 5G, and Pixel 5. Apart from revealing that Google Pixel 4A (5G) and Pixel 5 to be launched this fall, the tech giant has kept much of these two upcoming phones under wraps for now.
“This fall, we’ll have two more devices to talk about: the Pixel 4A (5G), starting at $499, and Pixel 5, both with 5G to make streaming videos, downloading content, and playing games on Stadia or other platforms faster and smoother than ever,” Google said in a statement.
It is being speculated that 4A (5G) will carry a larger screen than the regular 4A and may also come with a second camera lens. As of now, Google has opened pre-orders for Pixel 4A on the Google Store page and Amazon in the US, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, Japan, Taiwan, and Australia. Unfortunately, tech-lovers in India will have to wait a little longer.
Featuring a price tag of $349, the Pixel 4A boasts a 5.81-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2,340 by 1,080 at 443 ppi, a 12.2-megapixel punch-hole camera with a 77-degree field of view, and will connect to 4G LTE networks. Powered by a Snapdragon 730G system-on-chip, the device also has 6 gigabytes of memory, 128 gigabytes of storage, and a 3,140mAh battery. Other features include stereo speakers, a headphone jack, and USB-C support.
Pixel 4A 5G and Pixel 5
Google is giving customers a sneak peek at the Pixel 4A 5G and the Pixel 5, though they haven't provided any detailed information on either phone's hardware. It is being speculated that the Pixel 5 will feature a dual-camera setup on the rear, which would comprise of two 16-megapixel camera sensors.
Brian Rakowski, Google’s VP of product management, tweeted, “In the coming months, the company will share more about these devices and approach to 5G.”
While the Pixel 4A 5G is priced at $499, Google is yet to release the pricing for the Pixel 5 yet.
