In a rare incident of extreme luck, a man from Detroit in US won a massive Rs 14,94,15,000 in a lottery after he got a wrong lottery ticket sold to him.

The winner of the lottery draw was announced at Eastpointe, Michigan where the winning amount was announced at $2 million. According to the Michigan Lottery, the man stopped at a gas station in Eastpointe, Michigaon and bought a $10 Lucky 7's scratch-off ticket.

"The clerk handed me the $20 ticket by mistake. He offered to exchange it for me but something told me to keep it. I am sure glad I did!" the man who won the Rs 15 crore lottery said in a statement released Tuesday by the Michigan Lottery.

For security reason, the name of the 57-year-old lottery winner was withheld.
