Agartala: Tripura government announced the evaluation process for the students of Class 10 and Class 12 after a meeting of the high-level committee held on Monday.
The board examinations were cancelled on June 19 amid the prevailing COVID-19 situation and suggestions made by health experts and concerns raised by parents.
A meeting of the state-based review committee on education chaired by education minister Ratan Lal Nath took up the recommendation of an expert committee to give marks to secondary and higher secondary candidates.
The education department has prepared an evaluation process on the recommendation of the expert committee to give marks to the students.
The headmasters of all the higher and higher secondary schools have been instructed to collect the information of the secondary and higher secondary students and send it to the Tripura Board of Secondary Education within a week.
In case of secondary (Madhyamik) students, the inspector of school, and in case of higher secondary students, the district education officer has to verify the marks.
According to the recommendation, the marks obtained in the annual examination of Class 9 for the secondary candidates, the subject in which it was possible to take the examination in the pre-board examination in Class 12, and the marks obtained in the internal assessment in Class 10 in the academic year 2020-21 should be reported to TBSE.
Similarly, for higher secondary examinees, the marks obtained in theory in the annual examination of Class 11, the marks obtained in the subject in the pre-board examination in Class 12 and the marks obtained in the internal assessment of the school in Class 11 in the academic year 2020-21 are to be forwarded to the TBSE.
The headmasters of all the schools have been directed to collect the marks by June 28 and send them to the boards.
The board will consider all the numbers and announce the results of the candidates on July 31.
However, if any candidate is not satisfied with the results, the TBSE will give them an opportunity to take the examination once the coronavirus situation becomes normal. In this case, the number obtained in that exam will be considered as final.
