Agartala: A week after Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb tested positive for the virus, his wife and social worker Niti Deb tested positive for COVID-19 for the second time on Wednesday.

Taking to social media, Niti informed that she has tested positive for the second time. She also advised everyone to be safe from the new strain of coronavirus.

About eight months ago, she had tested positive for the virus. Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb is still under home isolation after being tested positive for the virus.

“…wanted to share with all of you regarding new strain of Covid-19, this new strain is having high mobility with less mortality rate but it comes with high fever which continues for several days around 9 to 10 days minimum which affects your immune system, stamina and you will have acute body and back pain,” Niti said.

“I got positive second time within a time frame of 8 months. So please all of you Stay Safe and follow precautions as much as possible, Must take vaccination,” Niti wrote.

In August last year, Niti Deb and her Daughter Shreya Deb had tested positive for the virus. Meanwhile, a total of 2099 samples were tested in the last 24 hours, out of which 62 tested positive and 22 persons recovered, leaving a total of 273 active cases as of Tuesday.
