1125 samples were collected and among them, 55 persons tested positive for the virus
Agartala: Tripura has crossed 700 coronavirus positive patients as another 55 persons tested positive on Saturday.
The total number of COVID-19 positive case stands at 750 in the state. A total of 173 persons have been discharged from various hospitals after recovering.
A total of 1125 samples were collected on Saturday out of which 55 tested positive. Most of the COVID-19 positive cases have a travel history and some were exposed to positive patients.
Taking to twitter chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb reported this development, “Alert ~ 55 people found COVID-19 #POSITIVE cases in Tripura today out of 1125 samples tested. Majority of the POSITIVE patients have travel history and others were in contact of COVID-19 patient.

On Saturday, 2,225 samples were collected from across the state and 850 samples including samples of those who returned by Indigo.
Earlier this evening, speaking in a press conference, education minister Ratan Lal Nath said that a total of 3,18,889 people have been screened at Airport, Railway station, Churaibari check post by the health department including 2,39,669 alone highest in West district.
