BTS’ label BigHit Music released an announcement via their official Twitter handle today about Megan Thee Stallion releasing a remix of BTS “Butter”, in which she is featured. The rapper had plans to release the song on Friday but the rapper alleged that her record label was preventing the song from being released.
According to reports, Stallion submitted a petition in Court against her record label 1501 Certified Entertainment and its CEO Carl Crawford alleging she was not being allowed to release the remix.
On getting clearance for the release, Megan retweeted BigHit music’s tweet quoting, “Yes, ‘Butter’ is back!”
She sought emergency relief from the Court before Friday to allow her to release a remix of the hit song as scheduled previously. She also mentioned that delaying or blocking the release of the song could cause “irreparable damage” to her career, apart from the devastating impact it could have with her fans and other artists of the music industry.
The rapper has also sued her label in the past for preventing her from releasing “Suga” and was granted a temporary restraining order.
News of this remix has BTS army going bonkers on social media as many took to twitter bombarding the micro-blogging sites with the #Megan which is a top trend on Twitter today with well over a million tweets.
