After securing their first win of the season against FC Goa in the last game, a confident NorthEast United FC will look to press the accelerator and continue with the good run in their next against Odisha FC. Both teams face each other in Match 24 of the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2021-22 season on Friday, 10th December at the Tilak Maidan Stadium in Vasco da Gama, Goa. The match will start at 7:30 PM IST. It will be telecast live on the Star Sports Network, Disney+ Hotstar and Jio TV.

While Odisha FC started their campaign on a great note with back to back wins, their last against Kerala Blasters ended on a sad note as they suffered their first loss of the season. They will look to change that for sure. On the other hand, NEUFC have had a mixed bag of a season so far. Failing to convert opportunities and injury to key players have seriously hampered their chances. However, the last win against FC Goa must have brought back life in The Highlanders’ camp and they would want to build on that. Goalkeeper Subhashish Roy has been in excellent form and his performance would be crucial.

Ahead of the match, NorthEast United FC head coach Khalid Jamil said that while the camp is confident, however they are not taking Odisha FC lightly. He said, “Everybody is confident (after the win over FC Goa). We must maintain this rhythm. We must fight. Talking about Odisha FC, they are a good side. They also played very good football and started very well this season. They are tough opponents, we have to be alert all the time. And this match is very important for us.”

NEUFC has a favorable 2-1 win record against Odisha FC. They also would be cheerful of the fact that they have remained undefeated in their last six matches at Tilak Maidan Stadium.
