India’s finest win in the Gabba Test against team Australia on their home turf has been applauded by many around the globe. Fighting all odds, the Indian team (young and inexperienced) led by stand-in-captain Ajinkya Rahane created history after emerging victorious clinching the Border-Gavaskar trophy.
The win, which was also lauded by Australian media added a long list of admirers from all over the globe. However, a recent video of a Pakistani news anchor from 24/7 Urdu News, whole-heartedly praising and congratulating Team India’s win has been winning the hearts of netizens. Anchor Babar Hayat was seen heaping praises on the resilient and bruised India for overcoming many obstacles including captain- Virat Kohli’s absence and injuries. In his segment, the anchor also lauded youngsters Shardul Thakur, Rishabh Pant, Washington Sundar, Mohammed Siraj. He went on to add, “From today onwards I have become a big fan of Team India.”
Even Syed Yahya Hussaini, Geo News anchor also praised the Boys in Blue stating, “The way India won the Test match in Australia without its key players — it speaks a lot about their domestic team and bench strength.”

Pakistani cricketers also took to Twitter to express their feelings upon witnessing the game. Wasim Akram, the left-arm fast bowler wrote, “Incredible Test & series win for India have not seen a bold, brave & boisterous Asian team on a tougher tour of Australia. No adversity could stop them, frontline players injured, & won after a remarkable turn around from the depths of 36 all out, inspiring for others.kudos India”
