The Dream11 IPL 2020 witnessed its third Super Over of the season, as the Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad could not be separated at the end of 40 overs in match number 35, with the Kolkata Knight Riders eventually winning the match in the Super Over. Playing his first game of the season, Lockie Fergusion was magnificent in the night, for the Kolkata Knight Riders in both the main game and the Super Over, as he ripped through the SRH batting line-up with some genuine pace, coupled with some breathtaking fielding.

Chasing a competitive total, the Sunrisers Hyderabad came out with a changed pair openers, as Kane Williamson accompanied Jonny Bairstow to start off the run-chase.

Kane Williamson and Jonny Bairstow got SRH to a flyer as they reached 58/0 inside the powerplay, but the very first ball after powerplay, Kane Williamson was dismissed by his countrymen Lockie Ferguson, who picked up a wicket in the very first ball he bowled this season.

Williamson played a brisk 19-ball-29, as he kept struggling with his hamstring injury all throughout his innings before he perished eventually trying to clear the boundary to avoid running between the wickets.

SRH surprised everyone with their batting order once again, as they sent in young Priyam Garg ahead of their skipper David Warner. But that did not turn out to be a great move as Garg was dismissed for just 4 runs off 7 deliveries in the 9th over, when Lockie Ferguson bowled a brilliant change-up slower delivery to decive Garg, picking up his second wicket in as many overs.

Jonny Bairstow(36) was quick to follow Garg as he picked out Andre Russell in the deep, trying to up the scoring rate in the very next over off Varun Chakravarthy.

It was Lockie Ferguson once again producing the breakthrough for the Knight Riders as he speared in a yorker at about 149kph to break the stumps of Manish Pandey, picking his third in three overs.

A late 39-run-partnership between David Warner and Abdul Samad brought back the hopes for SRH before Samad(23 off 15) was dismissed of a brilliant effort by Fergusion as he flicked the ball back to Shubhman Gill in the last ball of the 19th over.

With 16 runs needed off the last over and an injured Andre Russel bowling it, SRH skipper David Warner managed 15 runs to reach exactly the same score as KKR at the end of 20 overs, as David Warner remained unbeaten of 47, eventually taking the game to the third super over of the tournament.

The Sunrisers Hyderbad had their skipper David Warner and Jonny Bairstow come out for the super over, but it was the Kiwi pacer Lockie Fergusion for KKR who was literally on fire as he bowled David Warner in the very first ball and Abdul Samad two deliveries later with SRH scoring just two runs.

It was asking a bit too much for Rashid Khan to defend just two runs in the Super Over, as Dinesh Karthik and Eoin Morgan came out and did the job with ease and take their team home.

Earlier in the day, Put into bat first after losing the toss, the Kolkata Knight Riders openers Shubhman Gill and Rahul Tripathi gave KKR a decent start as they added 48 runs the powerplay, before Tripathi was dismissed for 23 in the last ball of the powerplay by T Natarajan. Tripathi, just before his dismissal seemed a bit uncomfortable after he got hit on his right forearm with a quick delivery earlier in the over.

Nitish Rana joined Shubhman Gill in the middle and they added 39 runs for the second wicket, a partnership majorly contributed by Nitish Rana, as he took on SRH lead bowler Rashid Khan. Shubhman Gill looked good in patches for his 37-ball-36 before he got out to a spectacular catch from Priyam Garg off Rashid Khan's bowling in the 12th over.

Shubhman's dismissal was quickly followed by Nitish Rana's wicket, as it was Priyam Garg once again with a brilliant running catch off Vijay Shankar's bowling in the 13th over, suddenly leaving the KKR in a spot of bother at 88/3 with two new men in the middle, yet to get off the mark.

Unfortunately for KKR, Andre Russell continuing his bad run this season, was once again dismissed cheaply for just 9, in the 14th over, when he tried to smash one over the park off Natarajan's bowling but found Vijay Shankar right at the boundary line.

It was a great 58-run-partnership off just 30 deliveries between Eoin Morgan and Dinesh Karthik that powered the Knight Riders to a rather competitive total of 163/5 at the end of their 20 overs, a score that seemed quite unlikely at one point with the wicket getting slower as the day progressed.
