The Indian Army averted a major fire incident in the remote village of Yak La at 1:10 am in East Sikkim district on the night of 27 November
The Army Camp at Yak La was alerted and immediately the troops of the Trishakti Corps rushed to the incident site

The fire was brought under control at around 3:30 am
In spite of inclement weather, the troops worked relentlessly to save human lives and property
