The deceased, a former airline crew member, allegedly ended her life at a party hosted by the accused after an altercation, say sources
New Delhi: A former crew member of an airline has been booked by the Gurugram police for his alleged involvement in abetting the suicide of his former live-in partner.
According to police sources, the deceased was a native of Sikkim. She lived with her elder sister in DLF Phase 3 and both were working as crew members in the airline.
The accused had invited her to a party that he hosted at a friend’s place, sources said. "During the party, both had some altercation and she allegedly ended her life," the sources added.
The police registered a case but are also probing foul play.
Sources further said that the party was hosted by a Jet Airways pilot at Bestech Parkview Spa Next at Sector 67 in Gurugram on Sunday night. Altogether 10 guests, including the deceased and four couples, were reportedly present during the party.
“When everyone was busy having dinner around 9.30 pm, the deceased along with the accused were discussing something in the balcony. Soon the accused rushed to the room to inform the gathering that she had ended her life. Later, she was taken to Artemis hospital where the doctors declared her brought dead,” sources added.
In her complaint, the victim's sister alleged that she was fed up with the accused and he was responsible for her death. An FIR has been registered against the pilot at Sector 65 police station in Gurugram.
