French astronaut Thomas Gautier Presquet, who is currently aboard the International Space Station, has shared mesmerising images of outer space on his social media.

The French aerospace engineer posted a few photos of the vehicle, which helped him click pictures of the outer space.

The cosmonaut focused the device’s lens on the space station’s solar panels that receive solar energy to sustain the orbiter. The panels appear blue due to the reflection from Earth.

Pequet’s post went viral on Instagram and garnered close to 46,000 likes, and is still doing rounds on the internet and stunning netizens all around.

The French astronaut described the image in the caption posted with the two pictures. He explained that the image showed solar panels on the Russian side of the Space Station, 400 km above their heads.
