Tezpur: A 4th-year female student of Tezpur University allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in her hostel room on Friday.
The student was a native of Dibrugarh and was pursuing her Integrated M.Sc. course in Chemistry.
Her body was discovered by her hostel mates on Friday morning. The police are investigating the matter, and no details have been shared yet. The University is yet to issue a statement at the time of filing this report, and according to students, the girl’s body is still on campus.
