Guwahati: Assam actor Adil Hussain won the Critics Choice Award for the Best Actor (short film) for Abhiroop Basu’s Meal.
Meal is an eleven-minute dialogue-less story about one household.

Hussain replied to the Twitter post showing gratitude to his fellow cast member, director and the entire crew of the film.

Hussain won the Best Actor – New Jersey Independent South Asian Cine Fest in 2012 for Lesson in Forgetting , Best Actor Prag Cine Awards in 2014 for Raag : The Rhythm of Love, National Film Award- Special Jury Award/ Special Mention (Feature film) for Mukti Bhawan in 2017.
