North Frontier Railway to run short distance train from February

Guwahati: Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has decided to run some short distance special trains in addition to the long distance special trains that are in operation. For convenience of local rail commuters, services of some short distance special trains will be resumed from this month.

Among these short distance special trains, two pairs of special trains from Rangiya to New Tinsukia and Ledo, one pair each of daily special trains between Lumding – Tinsukia and Guwahati – Dibrugarh Town; one pair DEMU special between Siliguri Jn and Dhubri and one pair special train between Alipurduar Jn and Silghat Town via Dhubri will be in operation.

– Train No. 05927 Rangiya – New Tinsukia Express Special will run four days a week- on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday w.e.f. 22-02-2021 leaving from Rangiya at 05-30 hrs to reach New Tinsukia at 20-50 hrs. In return direction, Train No. 05928 New Tinsukia – Rangiya Express Special will run four days a week- on Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday w.e.f. 20-02-2021 leaving from New Tinsukia at 06-10 hrs to reach Rangiya at 19-45 hrs.

– Train No. 05967 Rangiya – Ledo Express Special will run three days a week – on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday w.e.f. 21-02-2021 leaving from Rangiya at 05-30 hrs to reach Ledo at 21-40 hrs. In return direction, Train No. 05968 Ledo – Rangiya Express Special will run three days a week – on Monday, Thursday and Friday w.e.f. 22-02-2021 leaving from Ledo at 05-00 hrs to reach Rangiya at 19-45 hrs.

– Train No. 05901 Lumding – Tinsukia Express Special will run on everyday w.e.f. 19-02-2021 leaving from Lumding at 07-30 hrs to reach Tinsukia at 19-00 hrs. In return direction, Train No. 05902 Tinsukia – Lumding Express Special will run on everyday w.e.f. 18-02-2021 leaving from Tinsukia at 07-15 hrs to reach Lumding at 19-10 hrs.

– Train No. 05669 Guwahati – Dibrugarh Town Express Special will run on everyday w.e.f. 18-02-2021 leaving from Guwahati at 20-40 hrs to reach Dibrugarh Town at 10-40 hrs next day. In return direction, Train No. 05670 Dibrugarh Town – Guwahati Express Special will run on everyday w.e.f. 19-02-2021 leaving from Dibrugarh Town at 13-40 hrs to reach Guwahati at 04-00 hrs next day.

– Train No. 07541/07542 Siliguri Jn – Dhubri DEMU Special will run on everyday w.e.f. 22-02-2021 leaving from Siliguri Jn at 05-00 hrs to reach Dhubri at 12-00 hrs and leaving from Dhubri at 12-15 hrs to reach Siliguri Jn at 21-55 hrs.

– Train No. 05417 Alipurduar Jn – Silghat Town Special will run three days a week – on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday w.e.f. 23-02-2021 leaving from Alipurduar Jn at 17-00 hrs to reach Silghat Town at 09-00 hrs next day. In return direction, Train No. 05418 Silghat Town – Alipurduar Special will run three days a week – on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday w.e.f. 24-02-2021 leaving from Silghat Town at 17-40 hrs to reach Alipurduar Jn at 07-45 hrs next day. The train will run via Dhubri.
