Former adult film star Mia Khalifa has responded to viral pictures from demonstrations which read “Miya Khalifa regains consciousness (sic).”
In a sarcastic reply to the bizarre placard, Khalifa said, “Confirming I have in fact regained consciousness, and would like to thank you for your concern, albeit unnecessary. Still standing with the farmers, though.”

She became a top trend in India after showing support for the ongoing farmers’ protest, along with American pop star Rihanna and Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg.
Her tweet, “I stand with the farmers,” triggered angry backlash across the country, and a group held a demonstration in Delhi on Thursday chanting slogans and raising placards against global celebrities who voiced their support for the protest.
On the why the placard might have asked Khalifa to regain consciousness, journalist Mohammed Zubair pointed out that it was likely a poorly translated of Hindi sentence “Mia Khalifa hosh mein aao” in English.https://twitter.com/zoo_bear/status/1357363726278565889?s=20
