The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel celebrated Republic Day in freezing temperature of minus 25 degrees Ladakh on Tuesday.

Showing jawans chanting ‘Vande Mataram’, ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ and ‘Jai Hindi’ at the high-altitude Border Outpost, ITBP tweeted a video.

It said, “भारत माता की जय !

वन्दे मातरम…

Also, on the eve of Republic Day, 17 ITBP personnel were awarded police service medals in various categories. Two were awarded Police Medal for Gallantry, three were given President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Services, and 12 were honours with Police Medal For Meritorious Service.
