Indian Army has once again won hearts with its humanitarian act as it carried a woman and her newborn child in knee-deep snow in Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
“#IndianArmy soldiers carried the wife and newborn of Farooq Khasana of Dardpura, Lolab, for 6km in knee-deep snow & safely rescued them to their home,” wrote the official Twitter account of Chinar Corps, Indian Army.

The video shared on January 23 has gone viral since with positive comments pouring in. It has already garnered over 7,000 views and around 3,000 reactions.

This is not the first time that Army has sprung to action in the face of adversity. Earlier this month, Army troops helped a pregnant woman in Kupwara reach the hospital. They carried her for 2 km in knee-deep snow before she could be driven to a hospital. She later gave birth to a baby boy in Karalpura hospital.
