Imphal: Security forces in Manipur arrested a cadre of the proscribed group United National Liberation Front (UNLF) on Tuesday.
As per official reports, based on specific intelligence, troops of Assam Rifles in a coordinated operation nabbed the cadre from Gelbung village in Churachandpur district.
The arrested cadre has been identified as Kh Sanjoy Meitei alias Lanthouba, a resident of Kumbi ward number 2 in Bishnupur district, it said.

The arrested insurgent has been handed over to Kumbi Police Station for further investigation.
There is no report of whether the arrested cadre was in possession of illegal arms and ammunition during the time of his arrest.
