Tripura: BJP’s victory in West Bengal elections assured, says Ramdas Athawale
Agartala: The countdown for the end of Mamata Banerjee’s government in West Bengal has started, said Ramdas Athawale on Monday.
Athawale, president of NDA’s ally Republican Party of India (A), who is also the minister of state (MoS) for Social Welfare and Empowerment, told reporters that the BJP would win more than 200 sets in the West Bengal assembly elections.
"The elections in West Bengal are going to be all for the BJP. The election will witness a change of power again. The people of West Bengal want to remove Mamata Bannerjee's government, and it is only a matter of time before the BJP comes to power," Athawale said.
He also said that Mamata-led government has continued with hooliganism across West Bengal which cannot be tolerated any longer.
"I am sure that the people of West Bengal will have confidence in Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the forthcoming Assembly elections. The BJP will win more than 200 seats in the 294-seat assembly," Athawale added.
