A typical classroom fight between two Class 10 students over seats turned deadly after one of them shot his classmate dead in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr district on Thursday. According to police, both of them were 14-year-old boys/

One of the boys was so incensed by the fight that he took his uncle’s gun to school and shot his classmate in the morning. His uncle is in the army and is currently home on leave.

Senior police officer Santosh Kumar Singh said that the accused was taken into custody after the incident. He added that the police even found another country-made pistol in his bag which suggests his determination to carry out the shooting.

The horrific incident took place at 11 am and the accused shot his classmate thrice- in the head, chest, and stomach, killing the victim on spot. The accused after the shooting tried to flee the scene and even fired in the air to discourage others from catching him.

However, few teachers were able to overpower the 14-year-old accused and were able to take his gun away. The accused is in custody as of now, added police officials.
